Happy Monday! I mentioned a couple of week's back that I had another card using the Holiday Kids set from Your Next Stamp. Well this is the card I was chatting about. I have coloured this cutie with Prisma. The Marianne Craftables Window is so much fun to work with. I really love the perf lines in the die, makes life a whole lot easier.
Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!
I'm back today with another one of my creations from the Your Next Stamp Holiday Kids Collection. I had a ton of fun making the hill, I freehand cut the slopes, can you tell LOL! The snow on the slopes is done with Snow Tex and I applied with with a palette knife and allowed is time to dry. Before it dried I covered it with glitter, just a little tip if you do not own the Glistening Snow Tex.
I needed to get a little push start on some cards for younger kids so I picked this adorable set from Your Next Stamp called Holiday Kids Collection. I really had my heart set on making a couple of window cards with the new Marianne Design Window die that came in last week. This new die actually opens and has perf lines for bending the panes back....I'm in love again!! I will post a link to all the stuff at the bottom of this post.
I started off by colouring my image with Prisma's and trimming the image to just the right size to fit behind the window. After I coloured the image I added some Ultra Fine White Flower Soft for the look of snow at the bottom. I cut the die out of Ivory cardstock an then added some Wink of Stella White to make the window shimmery. I trimmed some acetate and added it behind the window panes and the open part of the die cut at the top...kinda looks like glass. I put the image down first on this card & then popped the die cut up on top of it. My only beef with that is that you can see the foam on a side view...oh well! The snowflake die in the top left corner is a fave of my from Crealies and it's actually a flower die that looks beautiful as a snowflake. Just in case you haven't noticed lately I'm also hooked on the new Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp, I swear you need a backhoe to get those off once they are down, love that!
I'm back with you today to share an image from Your Next Stamp called Shopping Bliss. Did you know that Penny Johnson has joined the Team at Your Next Stamp? Yes she has...I really enjoy her art so you will be seeing more stamps arriving in the store soon along with more coloured images coming up on my blog. I coloured this lovely up with my Tombow's. I almost feel like my Copic's are sadly missing me these days. Not to worry though I will have some Copic work coming up soon.
I coloured in the boots with a Black Glaze Pen to give them some shine and dimension, I did the same to her belt on the jacket. The Riviera Memory Die was cut up so I could place the pieces on the card as I desired, I really like doing that with many of my die cuts.
I'm on a roll with these Darling Diva's from Your Next Stamp..this one is Roxy. If you are looking for Roxy you can find her HERE! I was playing along with Splitcoaststampers Sketch #SC437.
Sometimes I find it a bother when the Copic colour I want to use just isn't part of the collection. That happened with this one. I love BG72 & BG70 but there isn't a BG71...so I made my own. I combined 50% each of BG70 & BG72 Various refills together to make my BG71. Now with that said I could have used a little less BG72 because the colour still wasn't exactly what I was after...but I will do that next time.
Hair - YR20, YR21, YR23, E33 with Light Umber Prisma
Skin - E000, E00, E11 with Blush Pink Primsa for the cheeks
I still think Summer will eventually arrive...really! With that in mind I have Summer from Your Next Stamp for you. I really loved colouring this image.

Things have been busy since returning from vacation but life is slowly returning to a normal pace. Maybe there just might be more colouring time for me.

Today I have a Rockin' Valentine for you using Your Next Stamp - Rockstar Fhinn. I used Splitcoast SC315 for the layout on this card. This image was so quick and easy to colour...this is the card my daughter will give to her music teacher for Valentine's. Sometimes it's great to just make a quick and simple little card.
