Happy Saturday everyone!

I wanted to play around this week with something a little different.  So I created this adorable Football MVP die cut set to go with High Hopes Touchdown Trevor image.

This is a 6 x 6 card so it was perfectly suited for this new die cut set.  My son played high school football, loved those days.  I did do those scrapbook pages up way back when but now I think I will be re-doing some of those.  Stay tuned for larger football die cuts for scrapbook pages.

Did someone say Spring?!

Happy Saturday!

I always find that February is such a blah kinda month.  So to brighten up my mood I created this bright card using these adorable images from High Hopes - Hoppy Flower Froggy & Pretty Butterfly which I paired with the Say Spring sentiment.

Shhhh don't tell anyone but I accidentally cutoff the little frilly part of the butterfly's antenna....couldn't figure out how to fix it lol.

I was gifted some awesome dies by Gina Marie Designs.....thank you my friend Donna!  I used the doubled stitched square ones for the image & the doubled stitched rectangle for the sentiment.  Gosh I may have found my new favorite dies!

I wasn't feeling patterned paper for this card so I pulled out the Distress Inks and created a little background.  I just tore up a piece of cardstock for the bottom & partially cut a scalloped edge with one of my Spellbinder dies.  I used those for making the background & for the sentiment as well.  I finished this card off with some Enamel Dots & Satin ribbon.

Whatever, I'm retired.....!

Now who doesn't love a nice long bubble bath!  This sweet image is called Betty Bubbles which I have paired with the Whatever...I'm retired! sentiment. Betty is soaking up all the suds & why not she is retired lol.....that's what I would be doing too!!

I dug into my stash of embossing folders looking for the perfect one...I found this old Provo Craft folder called Bubbles...now how perfect is that?!  I ran the 2 mats around the image & the border mat through the embossing folder so this card has a lot of texture to it.  I did struggle a little bit with my color choice for ribbon as I used such a flowery patterned paper.  I didn't want to take away from gorgeous Betty so I went with this older Stampin' Up taffeta ribbon.  I use that ribbon sparingly as I don't have a ton of it & can't seem to find more.  Taffeta is my favorite of all types of ribbon just because it is so easy to work with it.  I finished off the look with 3 different colored enamel dots.

You are my frog prince!

Happy Saturday & welcome to today's post featuring Hoppin' for a Prince from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I chuckled to myself all the way through coloring this adorable image, his big feet are too adorable.

I have been hanging onto some Bo Bunny patterned paper for a few years & I thought the lips in this pad where perfect for this card.  As my luck would have it they were in pinks to match the gals dress....perfect!  I decided rather than go with a brown card (ah boring) I would go for the green instead.  The peachy yellow cardstock color I picked is actually in the lips on the patterned paper but you can't see it but I thought it went well with the gals hair.  I added some brads & ribbon for texture.

I couldn't decide if I would use this as a Valentine's or Anniversary card for my hubby so I chose the Toad-ally Kissable sentiment.

Boys Will Be Boys Scrapbook Layout

I wanted to pop in today to share this single page 12" x 12" layout using the Boys Will Be Boys die cut set.

These are the measurements for creating this single page layout.  You can always create a 2nd page to go with this one.

• Base brown cardstock - 12" x 12"

• Patterned paper mat - 11 1/2" x 11 1/2"

• Star - you can create your own star if you don't have an electronic die cutter just by drawing it on the cardstock.  Draw the tan layer 1st approx 9" the brown layer is 9.25".

• Rectangle mats - brown (2), tan (1) each mat is 2.50" x 5.50", patterned paper mat (3) 2.25" x 5.25"

• Photo mats - brown 6 1/4" x 4 1/4", tan 6" x 4"

• Bottom long strip - Brown 3/4" x 11", patterned paper 1/2" x 11"

• Journal strips - cream (3) 1/4" x 4", brown 1/2" x 4".  You can modify these journal strips to suit your needs

• Brown marker for dashes around the star, I used a ruler so mine would appear straight

• Stars on left side of photo mat - brown (5) 1 1/4", patterned paper (2), cream & tan 1".  You can use  punches or if you have them. If you have an electronic die cutter create your 1st smaller star & then a shadow layer for the mat.
  

•  I used adhesive dots on the stars (brown) but you can use buttons or brads as well.

This week I had some fun coloring up Milton Moose from High Hopes.  This little dude is just darling isn't he?  His big glasses just crack me up.

The flower patterned paper is from an older Bella Blvd 6 x 8 pad called "Secrets of the Sea".  I adore the soft pink flowers on this paper, it reminds me of Spring.

I thought this card would be perfect for a man to give his wife as an Anniversary card.  So I paired Milton with the Happy Anniversary sentiment which I put on the inside of the card.  The ribbon is a beautiful pink from my stash & I added some white self adhesive dots just to keep the soft feeling of the card going.
