Hi everyone,

After several days off from blogging I'm back with a couple of new cards to share with you.

I'm a huge fan of the classes over at Kit & Clowder just in case you didn't know.  Alyce is an amazing creative person that puts so much into her classes, I wish I could sit and do them all day long.  Just an FYI I'm not affiliated in any way with Kit & Clowder I'm just a big fan and a subscriber to her monthly classes.  I have been on the list for several years.  It is so nice to have step by step instructional videos that go through the entire process of a technique in great detail.  If you were looking for an on line solution for learning more I would highly recommend Alyce's classes.

My first card today is 100% inspired by the Kit & Clowder new monthly marker class this month.  I'm not sharing the colors I used today because I don't want to give away any class secrets.  BUT I was so excited to share my version, I learned soooo much about doing the beautiful sky in this background.  I used High Hopes Rubber Stamps for my versions, I did not use the images from Kit & Clowder.

For the first card I used the new Birch Tree Background & Believe Snowman

For the 2nd card I used the new Birch Tree Background with Waving Penguin

I made both of the cards 5" x 5" as the Birch Tree Background is a larger stamp.

Sweet Savior

Today's image is called Sweet Savior & I think it's just adorable.  I kept this image very soft and went a little bolder with the papers from Kaisercraft.  The sentiment is from the same Kaisercraft pad & I thought it was just perfect for this cutie.

Dreaming of Santa's arrival!

I colored up this adorable little image called Chris Mouse Dreams & I just love how it turned out.  I'm not a fan of the real little mouse creatures, but I love this little guy so much.  His ears are so big, makes me just want to hug him.  I have paired this cutie with the Believe In Santa sentiment which I thought was just perfect for this image.

I punched out some little snowflakes & added some sparkly enamel dots for the bling....gotta have some bling.  I found a roll of ribbon in my stash that was thin enough & had the burlap feel so I could make a tiny little bow to finish it off.

Buddy's Gift!

Happy Monday & welcome to today's blog post!

This sweet little bear is called Buddy's Gift Block which I have paired with the Fun Merry Christmas sentiment.  I love the whimsical feel of the sentiment & that it's a little chunky.  So remember yesterday I said I'm not a super fan of traditional Christmas colors...well...here we go with a whole lotta' blue.  I suppose some folks may consider blue to be in the realm of traditional colors but I always think just red & green.

I wanted to add some glitter on the patterned paper so out came the Sookwang tape & my ultra fine glitter.  I put three strips of Sookwang tape down & burnished then well so the glitter wouldn't get underneath the tape.  I pulled off the strip that was going to be blue 1st, once that was complete and cleaned up I pulled off the remaining two strips to do the silver.  I always have to remind myself to burnish the glitter down very well.  It makes it more shiny & prevents it from coming off onto everything & everyone.

A whole lotta' bling!

Happy Sunday, I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

As promised the other day this is my final block image, or rather those I have colored up.  This adorable image is called Penguin Block which I have paired with the Happy Holidays sentiment.

I think just maybe I went a little bit overboard on the enamel dots on this one, just sayin'!  Purple is my favorite color, especially a very rich deep purple.  Putting the purple together with the blue just makes me crazy happy.  Hope you like it too.

Today I have this adorable image called Seal Puppy Love which I have paired with the Bold Seasons Greetings sentiment.  I absolutely adore this image, it's so precious and sweet.  I kept the coloring on this very monochromatic/natural, simple & basic.  When contemplating my sentiment I was thinking along the lines of simplicity as well.  I did sneak in a piece of ribbon but the person who is getting this card will totally understand...or at least I hope he does.  NO glitter or enamel dots on this one...I can't believe I managed to forgo those embellies but I did.

The patterned paper here is Kaisercraft with an old piece of Bo Bunny pine cone paper, which by the way I have been itching to use.  I left the fur on the hood, boots & jacket all white so it popped off the page.  You could add some shading to that area or another product you may have in your stash of crafty supplies.

Really....Santa I tried!

Happy Friday & welcome to today's blog post!

Today I have Nikki Sweet Tooth which I have paired with the Santa...I tried sentiment.  So why did I pick that sentiment you ask?  Well I was in a bit of a cheeky mood when I made this card.  The little elf looks like he is trying to take a bit out of the candy cane lol.  So he has some explaining to do to Santa don't you think?  Okay so enough with my silly humor I know.

More traditional red & green yep...but seriously I have to use some of the patterned paper I have.  It kinda makes sense because that means I can get more paper...right!

You can't see it in the picture but I did add some Wink of Stella clear to the white stripes on the candy cane, stars, bells & the elf's hat tip.  Believe it or not I have a gentleman in mind for this card....he is such a cheeky dude I think this image will suit him just fine.

Merry Christmas from our Snow Family!

Happy Thursday & welcome to my blog post for today!

This adorable image is called Snow Family which I have paired with Scripty Merry Christmas.  I have a lovely pad of Marianne Designs paper that is all pinks & greys and it inspired today's card.  The pinks in the pad are somewhat lighter than the pink on the Snowlady but I went with it anyway. 

I used an old Spellbinders scalloped die to cut out my image & I cut the sentiment in half so it would fit nicely on the side.  I did think about putting it across the bottom of the image but then where would my ribbon go....?!  Some soft grey & white enamel dots and a little bit of sparkle finished this cutie off.

Traditional Christmas with Santa!

Happy Wednesday & welcome to today's blog post! 

So here's my story and I'm sticking to it.  I am not a super fan of traditional anything...I like to live a wee bit outside of the box for a lot of things, Christmas is one of them.  I love all sorts of color combo's not just a combo that should fit a certain theme.  Sometimes though you just have to use the traditional colors, I think the Father Christmas Block which I'm using today is one of those images.  Although I did put in some blue on the Christmas balls & on the border.  The stars just had to be yellow & not silver lol.  I adore that little mouse in Santa's pocket...he just makes this image so much fun.  Now having said all that I went outside of the box & used the sentiment Merry Wishes instead of Merry Christmas, just my way of being different I suppose.

I pulled out an old Martha Stewart snowflake border punch to create the red cardstock border.  Don't look too close but there is a teeny tiny little nick in the paper on bottom right hand side.  I did that while trimming my snowflake border.  Hoping the person I send this card to doesn't take note of that lol.
