Fun At The Lake

Hi Everyone,

Today I'm sharing this layout called "Fun At The Lake".  My son loved to visit his Nana in Keremeos, BC as often as possible.  On this trip his cousin was there too & they enjoyed a wonderful day in Penticton, BC at the lake.  I was chuckling a little while putting this layout together because looking at the expression on my son's face you would think he was having a lousy time.  But he never liked getting his picture taken but he was having a blast.

I was able to include a couple of stamps on this layout Sandcastle & Fillable Beach Scene.  I wanted to keep this layout pretty clean and simple.

My Sunshine!

Hi Everyone!!

Today I'm sharing a single page 12 x 12 layout called "My Sunshine" & the Sun.  These photos of Emilee go back to 2007...boy oh boy do I have a lot of years to catch up on...she was just 6 years old here!

I was originally going to make my High Hopes Bessie Boo image into a card.  I had a raw chipboard frame that was 5 x 5 so I painted it up and put the flowers on.  I then glued my image onto the back of the frame.  After finishing it I got to thinking that it was perfect for these 2 pictures I have of Emilee....so that is how this page got started.  You think one thing and the next thing you know it's something completely different.  I do LOVE to stamp for my scrapbook pages so it's not totally unlike me to do something like this.

I made sure when I glued down the two mats for the pictures and put the flowers on that I would be able to easily slip my pictures in.  I put some Nuvo Clear drops in the centres of all the flowers.  I didn't want them to be opaque.

The patterned paper is from Sassafrass Lass from years ago...I know surprise right lol!

My Dog Loves Me!!

Hi Everyone!!

I think I'm on a scrapbooking roll today....whooo hoo me!  This layout features World of Die Cuts by Lora "My Dog Loves Me" & "Woof Woof Tan on Cream"

Okay so seriously who has scrapbook paper in their stash from 2006....my arms are up in the air....pick me!  This Making Memories paper is from 2006....yes 2006.  Now if that doesn't have hoarder written all over it I don't know what does.  I'm so bad for using paper that I only have a little bit of.  Why?  Well because I may never be able to find it again of course.  BUT I'm happy to say that I will be using up my stash in the coming month's.  Why?  So I can buy more of course!

Look What I Caught!!!

Hi Everyone!!

Today I'm back with a double page 12 x 12 scrapbook layout using the World of Die Cuts by Lora.  We just upload 90+ die cuts to the High Hopes website.  All the World of Die Cuts by Lora are already put together for you....so no paper piecing is required.  Now how cool is that!!

For this layout I'm using "Look What I Caught" & "Fish In A Pond"

The patterned paper is some really old stuff from Crate Paper that I was hanging onto for just the right layout.

You're Un-frogettable!

This adorable little cutie is called Kissable Frog from High Hopes.  I'm so NOT a fan of real frogs because they are slimy but I totally love this little sweetie.  I designed today's card to be clean & simple.  I paired Kissable Frog with the You're Un-frogettable sentiment also from High Hopes.  I was thinking that placing the enamel dots coming up from the froggy would mimic kisses in the wind...hope I got it right lol.  The branch is an old Martha Stewart punch I have had for years...I love it.

Inspirational Quick Card

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Today I'm sharing an inspirational card using Sunny Days Ahead from High Hopes.  This card was quick and easy to make....when I say quick I mean after I figured out the layout of the card lol.

There are those times when you want to send someone words of encouragement to let them know you are thinking of them.  I think this is the perfect image for that.

I was back into my stash of Digi Doodles Studios patterned paper for this card.  This time I chose paper from the Easter collection...yes I said Easter.  The paper was a perfect fit for what I needed.

Periwinkle Birthday!

Today I'm here to share Annie's Periwinkles & the Periwinkle Border both from High Hopes.  This cute gal reminds me so much of Pippi Longstocking….fond memories from my childhood.

I'm building the birthday stash of cards so I used the sentiment Happy Birthday Script from High Hopes.  I stamped my sentiment directly on my Floral Blends patterned paper from Digi Doodles Studios with Momento Elderberry ink.

For the gal who loves to garden!

Happy Friday everyone!!  Don't know about you but it's my favorite day of the week because I know I get to spend time with the family for the weekend.

Today I wanted to share this lovely gal named Gardening Gertie from High Hopes with you.  I paired Gertie with a Happy Birthday sentiment.  I just love everything about this gal.  I cannot wait for the day that I retire and I can spend as much time as I want in my gardens.

I feel like I have been using a lot of yellow this week lol.  I think it's because I get on a roll of coloring a bunch of images over a few days and then realize those where my go to colors that week.  Anyway I added some Red/Violets & Purple so that makes it better right?!

I fussy cut Gertie with scissors first & then decided to use my Brother Scan & Cut to make a couple of mats, one purple & one yellow.  If I had been thinking ahead...which clearly I wasn't, I would have cut the yellow first & then the purple.  But oh well I still liked the combo.  I also broke out an old Martha Stewart punch for the border on the patterned paper.

A frame of roses...

Today I'm sharing a beautiful stamp called Rosey Posey Frame from High Hopes.  I have had this colored for a while waiting for the right idea to pop into my head.  Then all of a sudden the pop went off lol.  I need a wedding card soon and the first thing I thought of was the Rosey frame.  I used All Dreams Come True as my sentiment because a marriage is the start to a brand new set of dreams for the future.  Isn't it?

I had stamped the border onto Xpress It cardstock and after I colored & cut it out I felt that the white background was just too white.  So I decided to add some color to it & now I like it a lot better.

I always put something on the inside of my cards as well but this time I put a little more.  I used the Rosey Posey Border inside but I cut it up to work with my idea.
