Swaddled Baby Boy

Hi Everyone,

Today I'm back with another card for my stash box using Swaddled Baby Boy from High Hopes.  This card is clean and simple.  I decided to leave the sentiment off so I could use it for a Welcome Baby card or even a 1st Birthday card.  You just never know what you might need.

I used some patterned paper from my stash for the background & cut a detail strip out of the paper for the train on the bottom.

Snuggle Lions

Hi Everyone,

Today I'm sharing this adorable stamp called Snuggle Lions from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I just love these guys.  I'm also trying a little something totally new for me....a video made from pics I took of the process of coloring this cutie.  Please bear with me as unlike others this is really not my forte, but I'm giving it a whirl.

Welcome Little One

Hi Everyone,

Since I'm always behind in getting cards out to friends and family this year I'm trying to get a little stash of "just in case cards" ready.  I currently don't have any expecting friends or family members but you never know when this will come in handy. 

This image is called HMS Noah's Ark from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  It looks like a lot of coloring and in a way it is but once you pick out your colors it actually goes really quickly.  I played around with my new Brother Scan N Cut to create the mats for the image.  I'm not very good with it yet but will keep practicing.

I tried to make the colors suitable for either a little boy or little girl.  Given most of the colors are muted on this card I put a little spark in with the BG's.

Brrrr it's cold.....thinking Spring!!!

Happy Monday OCS Fans!  We have had such a cold spell going on here in Southern Ontario for the last week or so.  I thought this stamp would be perfect to reset the mood and help us thing Spring, it's called Springtime Teapot from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.

I decided to go with all soft colors for this card...just to help the Springy mood.  The sentiment seemed a perfect fit for the lovely flowers on the teapot.

Welcome to my 1st Blog Post of 2018!!!

Happy New Year and welcome to a brand New Year of 2018 blog posting!!

This adorable little guy is called Andy with Kite from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.  I'm getting started on this year's birthday cards and hoping everyone on my list this year will get a handmade card from me.

  Boys cards can be a chore but I found it a bit easier by playing along with the new January 2018 Blog Challenge over on the OCS Blog.  Our only Challenge was to use Purple or Blue + a ribbon or button.  I managed the blue + a button and ribbon, yeah me lol.

To give the image a bit of lift I put him on pop dots.  The card size is 6" x 6"

These are the markers I just...missing in the picture are E00 & E04.
