Hi Everyone,
I was so excited when my vendor passed by on Friday night and dropped off my first shipment of Imagine Crafts new Vertigo. I couldn't wait to play with it. Vertigo comes in 6 different patterns so there is a good variety of choices available for your projects.
I thought it would be good to share the Imagine Crafts Youtube video so you get what this new product is right from the vendor.
My wheels are still spinning with what I can do with this new product. I first decided to use my Ranger Alcohol Inks with the Vertigo, I chose these inks just to see how alcohol reacts on this product. The results where amazing...so that's one for the checklist of ideas.
I chose 3 colours and of couse the blending solution. I dropped little droplets of each colour in random fashion all over my 6 x 6 sheet of Vertigo. I then did some blending with a small amount of blending solution and my blending tool. Keep in mind that the blending solution removes ink as well as it moves the ink around. This resulted in me adding an additional amount of ink in certain spots until I achieved the look I was going for. Because Vertigo has a prism reflective look to it I think the results were stunning.
Once I was complete with the technique portion it was off to colour some images to use with my Vertigo. I chose Penny Black's Ahoy set as the colours of alcohol ink were very masculine. Not to waste any of the Vertigo and to get 2 cards out of a 6 x 6 sheet I used one strip for each card. I do hope in the two samples below you can see how amazing this stuff is. I placed my Vertigo right overtop of my patterned paper because it is transparent so you are able to still see the paper.
Both my images were coloured with Copics, here is a pic of the colours.
Stay tuned for more projects using the new Imagine Crafts Vertigo.
Have a wonderful day & thanks for stopping by!
Cheers,
