Princess Anya - The Greeting Farm

Do you ever start working on a card and get side tracked with other projects?  I sure do.  I coloured this lovely Princess Anya from The Greeting Farm at least 2 weeks ago...and just finished putting her together last night.

I was trying out a new colour combo for hair..well at least new for me.  I stamped Anya onPrism Simply Smooth with Memento Black Ink.  The pearls are Kaiser Craft, the flowers are Prima.  I received Smooch Paint a couple weeks ago for my online store and just couldn't wait to give it a try...I used it on this card for the flowers, crown, wand and dress.  I must say I haven't been as excited about something new in quite a while as I am about Smooch Paint...this stuff is just way too cool, on this card I used the Illuminate Top Coat!  It's an amazing way to add that sparkle and bling without alot of fuss and it dries fast.  I air brushed the flowers & pearls because they were originally white.  The cardstock is Bazzill "Pauly Poo & Papaya", the patterned paper is a piece from my stash.

I don't know how well the Smooch Paint shows up in this picture but it is so beautiful in the real!

I didn't use very many Copic colours on this image but this is the list:

Fleur Anya - The Greeting Farm

I promised to post this card a couple of days ago...but life just has a way of stopping you from getting the job done sometimes.  Well I'm up and at it early today just so I can get my card up to share with you.

We are all set here in Canada for a long weekend, now who doesn't love a long weekend.  It's also the weekend to get all the annuals planted in the garden..only problem for me is I still have to go purchase these annuals.  But that's all part of the fun isn't it!

Now onto my card share for today.  As I mentioned a couple of days ago, I taught a class last weekend on Easel cards, if you haven't had a chance to try them please do they are just so much fun to make.  I create mine in 6 x 6 just because I love having all the extra space to work with.

On this card I used Fluer Anya from The Greeting Farm, I used her a couple posts back on another card I really love this image, it's also one of my daughter's favourites.

I chose bright summery colours for this card combination.  The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Prism Simply Smooth cardstock.  I love using Prism to stamp on when I'm colouring with Copic's because it bleeds VERY little and I always seem to be very happy with the end result.  That's would also be considering my colouring skills are on par that day...LOL!

There is a lip on the bottom of the cardstock, just for a boarder punch.  A friend of mine created a card doing this so I totally cased her idea as I thought it was very neat.

Mimo with Roses - Bildmalarna

Hi Everyone:

I have wanted to do Easel cards for such a long time.  I taught a class on these very cool cards this past weekend so for today & tomorrow's post I will show you what we created in class.

On this card I used Mimo with Roses from Bildmalarna, I just love how sweet this image is.

 

The directions for cutting Easel cards can be found here on Splitcoaststampers.  Here is a list of supplies I used:

Copic's:

Skin:  E000, E01, E00

Shirt & Socks:  BG01, BG02, BG05

Flowers:  Y00, Y02, Y04

Hair:  E44, E47, #49

Hat, Pants & Shoes:  YG93, YG95, YG97 *this is one of my favourite Olive Green combo's

Leaves for Flower:  G82

I used a C4 to rag around the edges of the image.

Cardstock:  Misc. Blue, American Craft Spinach textured, Prism Simply smooth to stamp on with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Patterned Paper:  Kaiser Craft Cabbage Patch P185 "Tender Heart"

Embellishments:  Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, Square & Scalloped Square punches, the fence is a MS punch.  Misc. Rhinestones & Ribbon, flowers Kaiser Craft Olive & Ice Blue.

Gretal & The Stump from C.C. Designs

Hi All:

I finally got the chance to play with the new C.C. Designs stamps which arrived early this past week.  They are now available at www.onecrazystamper.com  On this card I used Gretal & the Stump.  The buttons I had on hand didn't match so I coloured them with my Copic's and the air compressor.  The cardstock is Bazzill Brown & Pink Bazzill Bling, patterned paper is Basic Gray Porcelain "Chatsworth".  I stamped Gretal on a piece of Prism Simply Smooth with Memento Tuxedo Black, coloured & cut her out.  I used Spellbinders for the piece which I stamped the stump on.

This is the inside of the card:

 I used Marianne Walker's technique of ragging to add the colour around the outside of the stump.  Just grab an old rag and put a bit of colour from your Copic on it and pounce away.  This is also a great way to added texture and depth to your actual image.  I didn't use it on this image but I have in the past & it's great..give it a try.

Fleur Anya - The Greeting Farm

I just couldn't wait to starting colouring some of my new arrivals, The Greeting Farm Stamps.  My first pick, although it was very hard, was Fleur Anya.  My 8 year old daughter helped me choose which stamps to order first for the website.  I think she did a fine job!

I used a Spellbinders Die - Labels Twelvefor this one, I coloured with Copic's as listed below.  I added some flowers & Stickles.  I get many emails asking about bows and why mine lay flat...the answer is the most amazing little gizzmo called the Bow Easy.  I love that little tool, it comes in two sizes one for large bows and one for small bows.

Tossa with a Flower - Bildmalarna

I must be a lucky gal because my mailbox just seems to give me more joy than bills these days.  A few months ago I met a lovely lady by email named Joyce Glasen from Michigan.  Joyce found me thanks to Splitcoaststampers and we have been swapping ever since.  I wanted to start sharing all of the wonderful cards I get from others because each and every person's work is just so wonderful.  Joyce doesn't have a blog so this is my chance to share her work with all of you.

Joyce stamped and coloured a Bildmalarna stamp called Tossa Flower, isn't she just too cute!  I love the colour combination, it is one I have never used but I will now for sure.

Sharing a Card from Cabio Tse

I love to participate in mingle's because they are so much fun.  Last week I opened my mailbox to find my April mingle card from Cabio Tse of British Columbia.  Well let me tell you I just couldn't wait to get to a computer to tell her how much I loved her card, not to mention the awesome goodies she sent me too...how did she know that I have an 8 year old daughter who's scrapbook these will look awesome in.
