Barefoot Tilda - Magnolia

Well this poor little Barefoot Tilda has sat on my desk for at least 2 weeks or more...all coloured and just waiting to be put together.  Everyday I looked at her and she looked at me, I just couldn't take it anymore so I put her together tonight.

I feel so bad but I put away the Copic's a week ago and cannot for the life of me remember which ones I used...note to self...don't do that again that's what posties are for.

I still thought I should share her with all of you today!

Bildmalarna - Mimosa at the Stump Glassy Embossing Technique

So I'm back today with Mimosa at the Stump from Bildmalarna and available here.  The colour scheme is the same as yesterday I used all the same papers & Copic markers...but...this time I used the Glassy Embossing Technique from Technique Junkies.  I have done a few cards lately with this technique, I just think it's so EASY & so COOL!.  On this image I flipped the colours around, I think I like the hat in the BV colour scheme a little better with this hair tone.  The glassy embossing technique still gives me the distress look I was originally going for due in part to the Cosmo Cricket patterned paper.  I changed up the ribbon on this card, left off the flowers and brad and replaced with corduroy buttons instead.  Now the ribbon on this card is thick to I cut a super thin strip and carefully fed it through the button holes so they would co-ordinate.  I also added a tiny bit of Stickles to the centre of the little flowers beside the stump although they are a wee bit difficult to see.

Bildmalarna - Mimosa at the Stump

This is Mimosa at the Stump available at OneCrazystamper.  This is one of the few times I have gone totally out of my comfort zone for colour.  I would say this is a very grunge type look complete with distressing & some Vintage Photo Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  I added a bit of Flower Soft too, I mixed two greens together to get this colour.  I even distress the ribbon which I found in my stash.  I also distressed the flowers and added a corduroy brad for a bit more texture.  The cardsock is American Craft textured, Graphite & Cranberry.  The patterned paper is Cosmo Cricket that is/was a part of my ever growing stash of paper just waiting for the perfect image.  The flower in the centre (Cumquat colour, yes that is a real fruit...pretty tasty too) by Kaiser Craft.

Mimosa at the Stump is coloured with Copic's here are the colours I used:

Skin:  E000, E01, E00 & R20

Hat, Dress & Shoes:  YR20, YR14 & YR24

Shirt, Patch & Dress:  BV20, BV23, BV25

Stump:  E55, E57 & E59

Hair:  YR23, Y23, E13 & E55

Flowers:  Y32, Y26, Y38

Flower Stems:  YG17, YG45 & YG63

My new Tilda - Glassy Embossing Technique

I really enjoyed colouring this Tilda, she is just so fun!  I used the Glassy Embossing Technique on the piece behind Tilda.  The UTEE is interference blue with some Ultra Effects both are by Suze Weinberg.  The cardstock is Old Olive with Green Galore & the patterned paper is Kaiser Craft.  The ribbon is misc. from my stash as are the little rhinestones.

Shirt, Shoes & Pockets:  YG93, YG95, YG97

Skin:  E000, E01 & E00

Hair:  E55, E57 & E59

Mimo & Mimosa with a Tulip

It is a beautiful sunny day here in Bolton, Ontario this morning, the sun is shinning and the birds are chirping.  It almost feels like spring but it's only +10 degrees today.  I'll take this weather over snow any!

I'm posting two new cards today, one using Mimo with a Tulip and the other Mimosa with a Tulip.  These stamps are from Bildmalarna and will arrive in my web store www.onecrazystamper.comapprox. the first week of April.  I feel in love with the Bildmalarna line as soon as I laid my eyes on it.

Both cards are coloured with Copic's and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Prism Simply Smooth white cardstock.

Here is Mimo:

I used the Glassy Embossing Technique on the piece just behind Mimo.  I like this technique because it gives the patterned paper different look.

I used Prism Brilliant Blue & Prism Blue Gray cardstock .  The patterned paper is Bo Bunny Brilliant Blue Dot.  I did do the inside of the card on this one but fairly plain no froo froo, if that's even a word.  The pearls are Kaiser Craft self-adhesive Pearls & the ribbon is some misc. satin from my stash.  There is a little bit of Stickles on the flower and the stem it's just a bit difficult to see, that would be because I lack good photography skills.

Now onto Mimosa.  I have used Prism Frosted Teal and Almost Amethyst cardstock.  In addition to Kaiser Craft self-adhesive Pearls, organza ribbon & stickles.  I also used the Martha Stewart boarder punch on the inside of this card.

Just a quick post to update you!

I'm so sorry that I have not posted any cards since last week, although I do have some ready to go.  Many things have taken over my time in the past week.  I have been diligently working on my brand new website.  This is a totally new venture for me but one I have wanted to do for years.  I work full time outside the home, in addition I have two children, so time is ever so precious.

I will have some cards up by Saturday for sure:  Magnolia's & Bildmalarna's using the Glossy Embossing Technique

Now back to my new website.  Many may have already noticed the lack of Stampin' Up! information on my blog that is because I am no longer a demonstrator for SU.  I love the company and the product it was just time for me to move onto a new venture.  If you click the "My Website" button on this blog you will be taken directly to my new website www.onecrazystamper.com I am currently in the process of getting things loaded on the site, it is a tedious process.  I haven't opened up the shopping cart just yet but I will sometime within the next week or so.

I am very excited to be offering new product lines, with more coming each and everyday.  Over the coming days, weeks and months I endeavor to share many things including different techniques, card designs and even scrapbook samples on this blog.
