Welcome to thy castle, the first on the Crushed Curry Path, which is one of four paths thee can take. By royal decree, thee have been given three days in which to enjoy 80 different castles prepared especially for thou enjoyment. Along the way, thee will find important clues; thee will want to inscribe on thee parchment each of the 20 clues scattered among the castles on the four paths. When thou carriage has taken thee along all four paths, and thee have gathered the 20 clues among the paths, thee must return to the Royal Blog Tour Home Castle. There thee will be asked to return the clues to the Royal Blog Tour High Queen. If thee return all the clues to the Queen correctly, thou name will be entered by the Castle Scribe. After the Royal Blog Tour has ended, the scribe will record thou name into a royal drawing for a Big Shot Die Cut Machine! Look carefully through each castle where thou coach arrives as the clues can be found only in certain castles. Once thee have traveled all the paths, bid thou coachman to return to the Royal Blog Home Castle. The Queen awaits thou answers there!
Welcome to the Crushed Curry Path of the Royal Blog Tour.
Ye are currently at Castle Number 1.
My "Feature" set for the Royal Blog Tour is "The More the Merrier" this is one of Stampin' Up!'s brand new Level 3 Hostess Set's. I have created a Christmas card, a Halloween card and a Birthday card just for this tour.
Now for the particulars on my Halloween card. I stamped and coloured those cute little pumpkins and did a bit of sponging...I don't like too much white space. I put some googly eyes on two of the pumpkin's...I kinda dig those. I went all the way around the white and brown with a distressing tool to rough it up a bit & then all the way around with a glue pen, I then put brown glitter from the Supernova Collection on. I also put glitter around the tab punch to spruce it up a bit. The patterned paper is Pumpkin Pie, with Chocolate Chip & Pumpkin Pie card stock. I taped the two pieces of patterned paper together on the back and then added some glitter up the middle to give it even more sparkle. A bit of 1/4" grosgrain & a jewel brad (which I coloured to match) and it's all done.
I know it's Summer time here in Ontario but it's also a great time to get a head start on all those Christmas cards.
Taken with Teal is one of my favourite colours and one I haven't used a lot this year. I used the new Holiday Lounge patterned paper from SU on this card, it's just beautiful. I also used my SU Top Notes Die on this card. Cut it out once and then put it back through but I turned the first cut piece 90 degrees to get this pattern out of it. I trimmed the white piece so that I could have a mat.
It's hard to tell from the picture but there is dazzling diamonds all the way around the outside of the white, and on the bottom for snow as well as in various places on the snowmen.
I didn't have the proper colour button so I coloured one to match and added dazzling diamonds to it as well.
I cut a piece of 1/4" grosgrain in half so it would fit through the button wholes.
This is a very simple but I think pretty card for Christmas.
I had originally created this card for a Splitcoast challenge but then realized it was the set I would be using for this amazing tour...so I held off posting it.
I just can't tell you how much I love this year's in colours...I have to stop myself sometimes because I want to do all my cards with these colours.
These cupcakes are all on a one line stamp so I inked each cupcake individually and stamped and punched them out.
This is a 5 x 5 square card. I coloured all the "cakes" in used some Liquid Applique on them. I coloured my flowers in as well I coloured the brads to match. The ribbon is Crushed Curry polka dot from SU.
You can click on any of the pictures for a more close of view of the card.
I hope you enjoy the balance of the Royal Blog Tour, thanks for stopping by!!!
Cheers,
Once this path hath reached its end, thy royal coach will travel back to the Royal Blog Tour - Home Castle where more paths await thee!
