I'm back from my little vacation from posting...but I have been busy making cards to post for my blog.
This is a huge week the Royal Blog Tour kicks off this week for a whole three days...I'm very excited.
Now onto today's post....
One of the things that totally WOWED me when I opened the new Stampin' Up! catalogue was the selection of Extreme Sports sets.
It's very difficult to find a great rubber stamp that's not girlie. Well SU has outdone themselves this time with the Extreme sets.
I have so many pictures of my son growing up over the years I can use just about everyone of these on his scrapbook pages. Not to mention how many fantastic masculine cards I'm going to be able to create.
I'm totally into the bold bright colours at the moment & they work great with masculine cards. I had some Kaiser Kraft paper on hand which is totally dedicated to the Extreme Sports so I can tell you that paper will be getting quite a work out for my cards & scrapbook pages.
I used Summer Sun & Only Orange SU cardstock for this one because it matched perfect with the Kaiser Kraft paper. My nesties were used to cut all the mat's out. I tore the patterned paper with an edge ruler and then sewed using matching thread...it even works on masculine cards!
A little tip....I used a white rubber eraser on the Extreme Skateboard image to remove the gloss that is on the rubber when it's made. It really helps to open the pores on the rubber and creates a much nicer solid image. I stamped the Skater in Basic Gray and cut him out then popped him up on dimensional's. I did a little more stamping using the Extreme Sports Elements set in Summer Sun, Bermuda Bay, Only Orange & Going Gray.
Hope you like my Extreme Dude!
Cheers,
