I prepared this card for Splitcoast Sketch Challenge 230.

Now let's talk about this image; it's from the Stampin' Up! Classy & Fabulous set.  A set I overlooked since the catty came out but I placed an order for it just recently...I no obvious because I'm using it...anywho I picked it because I suddenly realized one day that it totally was made for my 7 year old daughter...okay I know she is not quite as old as the gal in the image...but...and this is big...she is a total chatting diva..just like image...I'm so not kidding.....with a glass of water in her hand instead of a coffee cup...Mom always told me there was payback coming one day....I should have been a good girl growing up...LOL!  I plan to use this set for some other cards I totally think it's great!

Here's another first for me...two pic's in one blog post..yipee!!  I thought rather than list the Copics that I used I would just take a pic..so here you go, this was my colour combo.  Which leads me to tell you that when I'm choosing my Copic colours for each card I base the choices on my paper..seems pretty easy eah!  For the longest time...that being years...I did it the other way around, picked my stamp & coloured it or did what ever I was going to do with it then scrambled to figure out what patterned paper and or cardstock I was going to use.  Not anymore..I know that seems pretty lame for me to tell you this but I'm certain that there must be others just like me...so that info is just for you.  I find it so much easier to match colours of markers, ink etc. to my paper this way.  Now Stampin' Up! makes it a total breeze because everything already matches...but just in case you want to colour with another product..such as Copics it works better.

Now for the card:  I used Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss & the beautiful Stampin' Up! patterned paper called Bella Rose.  My nesties where hard at work on this card too along with some glitter, Sakura Stardust pen & the ever so clever little Filigree Brads from Stampin' Up!, my SIL got me hooked on those..she uses them all the time....I think I'm liking them now too!!

Eeday Huggabugg - Bella Day

Is this little bugg not the most adorable little thing....I think so.  Eeday Huggabugg is from Bella Stamps.

I stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black onto Gina K Pure Luxury 120LB cardstock and coloured with my Copics.  Cardstock is SU Lovely Lavender with some misc. patterned paper..sorry can't recall who.  A little stickles and sewing completes this card.  Gee I almost forgot....nesties....if you don't have any by Spellbinders you should check them out...cut & emboss wow it's so easy.

I am very bow challenged...even though my Mom the expert has tried to teach me...it isn't happening...so please forgive me.

I also used my Sakura Clear Stardust pen on the present and wings which is very difficult to see in the .jpeg but it looks lovely in the real.

SC229, And Many Mower

I made this card for my DH for Father's Day, he is a golf nut...not that the poor guy gets to go all that often but it's the thought that counts...right.

I made the card then realized it qualified for last week's Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast.

I stamped with Momento Black & coloured with Copics.  The cardstock is SU Sage Shadow & Really Rust.  Cut out with nesties & used the Cuttlebug embossing folder for the Really Rust piece.  The patterned paper is Stampin' Up Outlaw.  A little bit of linen thread and a button it's all done.

The stamp set is SU And Many Mower I really think this guy is just adorable...

Hmm let's see what should I post tomorrow....how about a Bella day????!!!!

It's a girly kind of day!!

It is fitting that I post this card today..I took my daughter this past weekend for her first ever pedi & mani....she is 7...I must be nuts.  When I posted Ballet Sophie I said she liked all the frills..I wasn't kidding.  My husband and I are together with our thinking that this little girl will need to get a part time job by the time she turns 10 so she can pay for her own pretty stuff.  Anyway it was so cute to watch her get her first pedi...she is sitting in the chair much like Spa Sophie in the card..if the place was quiet I'm sure she would have been fast asleep...the look on her face is one I will just never forget.  Of course she had to pick out two different colours of polish one for the toes and one for the fingers.  It was a lovely time together. 

Spa Sophie by Hanna Stamps was stamped on Gina K 120lb Pure Luxury cardstock and stamped with Momento Black, cut out with nesties & coloured with Copics.  The patterned paper is some misc. paper I had around, cardstock is Stampin' Up! Apricot Appeal and Lavender Lace.  The verse is Stampin' Up! Oval All, I punch out the sentiment with the new SU Oval Scallop punch.  I used a Prima flower and Build A Brad from Stampin' Up! so the brad matched the patterned paper.  A little bit of Stickles for dazzle & the SU Eyelet Boarder punch and we are done.

Tomorrow's clue...I can tell you it will be for Dad!

Car Riley Hanna Stamps

Oh my goodness where did the weekend go.  I know that I promised to post this on Saturday but it ended up to be the gardening weekend and time was limited.  I even had to sneak into the studio when I was folding the laundry...shhh don't tell DH or he will catch on that it doesn't take 45 minutes to fold a load of laundry!

This is one of the first scenery type cards that I have done..so be kind...I know it's not perfect but after all it is the effort right!!

I stamped my awesome Car Riley from Hanna Stamps with Momento Black on Gina K Pure Luxury cardstock & used several Copics to colour with.  I used nesties for Riley & his matte as well the Happy Birthday, by the way that's a rub-on for the HB.  If you haven't tried rub-on's please check them out because I think they are wonderful.  May I suggest that..... you pay for what you get when it comes to rub-on's I try to stay away from the cheaper ones as I find they just don't rub-on...no pun intended..all that well.  The cardstock is Stampin' Up! Night of Navy & Real Red together with some more of that ultra fabulous Bo Bunny Polka Dot Paper...trust me I will run out one of these days.  I better confess now..I'm am a hoarder...a what you say...a hoarder..I have trouble using the things I buy for fear I won't be able to get them again...but..and this is a big but...at the rate I am using my Bo Bunny paper I might just run out sometime in the next couple of months...okay stop laughing...but it's all true I do hoard things...I'm trying to take extra care to use the things I buy & trust that there will always be something new that I like...which of course there is everywhere I go.  Anyway check it out I used 3 little red buttons...those aren't just any 3 little red buttons...I bought those 4 years ago and would not use them cause' I thought I wouldn't be able to get more....I broke away from the mold and used the buttons....I was very proud of me....here is another but....I confess to purchasing 3 oh no make that 4 bags of buttons...that meant I could spare these 3...it still hurt to use them though.  I know there are lotsa' people out there just like me....so just in case you fit the mold...I feel your pain!

Ballet Sophie from Hanna Stamps!!

It's Ballet Sophie day!  This lovely image is from Hanna Stamps, isn't she just a princess.  I remember when my daughter took ballet a couple of years ago the studio came to us and suggested that perhaps she would be better suited for dance class.  Hmm I thought...that didn't seem very nice...however after watching my daughter in class I thought perhaps they were right.  You see she is more a tom girl...with the princess finishes..nails painted...skirt with shorts underneath..you know what I mean.  So that was it for ballet and we moved on to gymnastics.  None the less I plan to use this image in my scrapbook page from the few pic's I have of her in the short lived ballet class.

I stamped with Memento Black & coloured with Copics.  The glitter is the Sakura Stardust Clear Pen.  That is a Prima flower with a misc. gem.  The border for the Bo Bunny patterned paper is the Stampin' Up! Eyelet Punch...I'm lovin' it.  The HB phrase is from SU Family Phrases set.  The cardstock is SU Pretty in Pink and Rose Red finished off with some lovely SU Taffeta White ribbon.

It's GI Riley Day....

How can you not love this guy...GI Riley is a star.  I had this amazing Bo Bunny polka dot paper..okay I know that I have said that before...and that I have almost every colour...but I just can't help myself!!

I find masculine cards and bit mind warping at times.  The ideas just don't come that easy to me...but...with Riley things just seem to flow.  My daughter has a ton of little boy friends, oh and I do put the emphasis on the friend (her Dad would have a total fit otherwise) LOL.  Anywho I thought what a great time to stock up on a couple of young boys birthday cards.  SU Only Orange is the cardstock, not my first choice when I'm reaching for a colour but together with some SU Chocolate Chip and the Bo Bunny Polka Dot paper we have a winning combination...or at least I think we do.

I used my Nesties on Gina K Pure Luxury 120LB cardstock, coloured GI Riley with my Copics of course, did a little stippling in Chocolate Chip and presto you have the main image.  The Happy Birthday comes from my SU Family Phrases set..love that set, it's just one you gotta' have.  The stars are punched with the SU small and large Star Punch, put it all together and you get the rest.

This is the FIRST in a series of Riley & Sophie images from Hanna Stamps that I have to present to you..my DH wants to know who I love more him or Mr. Riley as he refers to him...."careful honey I say you can't come between a girl and her Riley".

Eloise Greengrass Stamping Bella

I originally fell for the skirt on this stamp by Stamping Bella, her name is Eloise Greengrass. But after looking at it more closely she reminded me of the look my daughter has after she has picked my tulips and every so sweetly says to me "did I do something bad Mommy, I picked them for you". 

I stamped the image with Momento black used my nesties & coloured with Copics. I stamped and cut out the skirt a second time & coloured with the Copics. I then used an adhesive tape and covered it in Micro Fine Glitter. The glitter on the wings is the Stardust Clear Pen by Sakura. A few clear jewels, cardstock and patterned paper and we are done.  The cardstock is SU Pacific Point (my fav) & Green Galore.  I also added some Bo Bunny polka dot patterned paper.

I'm trying to be a "daily blogger"...trying..being the key word.  I have tons I want to share with you.  Stampin' Up! is my primary company of choice but I just thought I would post a few "others" shall we say.  Tomorrow I will be posting a Riley image...so please come back to check him out...he's just way to cute!!!  Thanks for visiting, leave me a comment to let me know what you think!

Baby Buttercup Stamping Bella

I stamped my Baby Bella Buttercup with Momento Black & coloured with Copics on Gina K 120lb Pure Luxury white cardstock & mounted on SU Barely Banana, cut out with Oval Nesties. The patterned paper believe it or not is from our local Dollarama. It came in a stack which I actually purchased for my 7 year daughter to use...can't let her get a hold of the good stuff. But to my surprise when going through the stack I fell in love with a couple of sheets so I swiped a couple..hopefully she doesn't notice them missing LOL! The card base is SU Pale Plum, the matte is SU Barely Banana. The phrase "rock-a-bye baby" is SU from the Nursery Necessities set stamped in Mellow Moss. I went over almost everything including the boarder with my Sakura Star Dust Clear Pen...I'm lovin' those pens!

Bella Anise Ketto

I woke up this morning to an awesome post from Karen Motz check out her blog it's awesome Taylored Expressions.   So on Karen's post yesterday, which I got to today she had a sketch challenge on from Card Positioning Systems this week's sponsor is no other than Stamping Bella.  So here I sat pondering...hmm should I do it.  I pondered somemore and then thought what a great time to use the Anise Ketto that I recently borrowedfrom my SIL.  She was already coloured using my Copics...have I mentioned how much I LOVE my Copics...well I do! My poor SIL wanted to use them yesterday...I started to shutter just at the thought that someone might touch them!LOL.  Okay a little freaky I know but have no fear I will get over it eventually..for real!  Alright already back to the Sketch Challenge here it is.  

    

As I mentioned I coloured my Bella with Copics on Gina K cardstock, stamped with Momento Black ink.  You can't see the glitter well at all on the pic but I did add some Stardust Clear.  I stippled with my SU Bravo Burgandy ink pad, used SU Yo Yo Yellow & Bravo Burgandy cardstock.  I recently got myself hooked on the new Bo Bunny polka dot patterned paper, I think I own at least 2 sheets EVERY colour, shame on me....!!  Oh yes I added some Bella Baubles too...yep I have almost all the colours of that too..LOL!!  I used my Nesties to cut out Anise and mat her...don't ask how many of those I have now and please don't tell my DH!  Finally a little misc. yellow dotted ribbon from the drawer and my Bella was born.

So that's it for today...it's a beautiful sunny day her in Bolton so I'm off to get some much needed yard work done!!!
