Happy Halloween!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I finished another card for one of my daughter's teachers and thought oh dear Halloween is tomorrow...better get it posted.  Soooo this will be a quick little post hopefully you enjoy it even if it provides inspiration for one of your cards next year.

This adorable little image is from Whimsy a Sylvia Zet image called Batty Boo.  I still think Hazel is my favourite but I do love these little bats.  I had originally thought this was going to be for one of Emilee's male teachers but at the last minute she changed her mind and it's going to a female teacher.  Good for me because I got to rethink the design just a tiny bit and add some Gumdrops and ribbon...and you all know how I love those things.

Happy Halloween & thanks for stoppin' by!

Holiday Kids - Card #1

Hi Everyone,

I needed to get a little push start on some cards for younger kids so I picked this adorable set from Your Next Stamp called Holiday Kids Collection.  I really had my heart set on making a couple of window cards with the new Marianne Design Window die that came in last week.  This new die actually opens and has perf lines for bending the panes back....I'm in love again!!  I will post a link to all the stuff at the bottom of this post.

I started off by colouring my image with Prisma's and trimming the image to just the right size to fit behind the window.  After I coloured the image I added some Ultra Fine White Flower Soft for the look of snow at the bottom.  I cut the die out of Ivory cardstock an then added some Wink of Stella White to make the window shimmery.  I trimmed some acetate and added it behind the window panes and the open part of the die cut at the top...kinda looks like glass.  I put the image down first on this card & then popped the die cut up on top of it.  My only beef with that is that you can see the foam on a side view...oh well!  The snowflake die in the top left corner is a fave of my from Crealies and it's actually a flower die that looks beautiful as a snowflake.  Just in case you haven't noticed lately I'm also hooked on the new Gumdrops from Your Next Stamp, I swear you need a backhoe to get those off once they are down, love that!

It's time for some Halloween card!!

Hi Everyone,

I have wanted to colour this lovely image from Whimsy called Hazel since it came out last year...finally I have done it!  This card is a 6 x 8 one of the largest cards I have made but I needed it to be large so I could incorporate the dies I just had to have as part of the design.  I have also used 2 High Hopes images - Batty Boo & Happy Halloween.  I will use these again in another card I'm working on.  I popped everything up on foam dimensionals.  This card is for my daughter's math teacher so I hope she likes it.

It's really hard to tell from the picture but I covered the tree, bats, fence and a few other parts with a new product we just go in called Wink Of Stella.  If it happens to sell out fear not there is more on the way!  I used a clear & silver for this card, there is also gold in the package which I will reserve for another card.  The pumpkins were made from an oval punch and coloured with Copic's.

Copic's:  YR21, V20, C5, C3, N3, R20, N10, YG25, E11, YR14, C1, YR18, YR23, N5, V22, YR16, N8, YG23, E000, YR24, V25, YG21, E00

Misc:  Batty Border 98694, Grand Willow Tree 98695, Weathered Fence 98644, Bo Bunny Fright Delight 6 x 6 Pad, Your Next Stamp Gumdrops Black, Wink of Stella, Bazzill Parakeet & Jubilee

Stamps:  Hazel Whimsy, Batty Boo High Hopes, Happy Halloween High Hopes

Thanks for stoppin' by, have a wonderful day!!
