Lots of Bots

Well it's finally time for the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue & it's Canada Day!!!!!  So in honour of both these events I'm posting one of my new sets from the Catalogue.  Lots of Bots...I just love these little guys.  I had some of this new Crate Paper on hand & thought it went very well with two of this years new In Colours Crushed Curry & Bermuda Bay.  Lots of BotsThere are no Copics on this card...can you believe that!!  Instead I have used the brand new In Colour Markers...yes I said markers...this year Stampin' Up! has released the matching markers for the In made me do the happy dance...I love when things match...I'm just a matchy kinda' gal!  I used my nesties...sorry just couldn't help myself...they are my new deckled edge ones.  I also used some Basic Gray corduroy buttons.  Lots of Bots is on Page 82 of the new Catty...these are the other stamps contained in this set...I'm sure I will be using all of them.

LotsThe Catalogue will be available today online!  I have spent the last couple of days just pouring all over my copy thinking of all the cards I can make....of course I just have to get some of the Extreme sets...check out Pages 80 & 81 for those.  There are some many new things it's a good that we have a year with this Catalogue.

To all my Canadian friends enjoy all the celebrations of Canada Day!!!!!!!!

It's Happy Camper Day.....

So I'm sitting in my studio tonight trying to decide what card I should post...since I promised a new one for today...and then the light when on...LOL  Well Wednesday, July 1st is the launch of the new Stampin' Up! catalogue so I thought hmmm...why not My Happy Camper card.  I created this card for a friend of mine as a Father's Day card originally, I then made a few more for my stash and changed the sentiment to Happy Birthday.IMG_1576_edited-1  I had this great camping paper on hand and was just looking for the right opportunity to use it...I found it.  I have had the Happy Camper set from SU for quite sometime and it had not had any lovin' yet & Loads of Love was just crying to drive right out of the box.  I stamped the camper in Only Orange on Whisper White twice, once for the camper without the base and a 2nd time to get the door and window so I could cut them out and pop them up on dimensionals.  The wheels & stairs needed to be black so I stamped it again...that's 3 times total.  Cutting out the wheels and stairs did prove to be a bit of a challenge but I managed to get it done.....3 times..whew!  The gals in my class would not like me if I gave them this task...they will forever remember the mouses tail at a Stamp-A-Stack last year...there were many mouses with no tail that back to this card, I get carried away sometimes.  The truck is from Loads of Love, I stamped it on Prism White because I wanted to colour with my Copics & then of course I cut the truck out...not to bad though pretty easy.  I stamped the trees in Always Artichoke and cut them out...are you getting the pattern here...cut out...I actually enjoy cutting things out I find it somewhat therapeutic, it actually makes me slooooow down and not try and do 5 things at once.  The card base is Always Artichoke which I will put a white insert in before I package it up for sale, it's much nicer to be able to write on white then to find a marker to write on dark cardstock.   The sentiment came from All Year Cheer which retired sometime ago, but I still like it.  This card actually came together quite easily, all the colour choices came straight from the patterned paper.

I hope you like today's post, have a wonderful day.....don't forget tomorrow the new catalogues goes live.  You can come back to my blog and click the link OR go directly to my website at

Brrrr....Ski Riley Hanna Stamps (SC219 & HSC72)

Ski Riley I can't believe that it has been a whole week since I posted last.  What a week...phew...I'm glad I finally got a bit of time to do some stamping..yeah!

This is my post for Splitcoast Hanna Stamp Challenge HSC72 & Splitcoast Sketch Challenge SC219.  Since I'm at it I'm going to enter this one in the Hanna Stamp Guest Designer Call as can check it our HERE  Everyone is welcome to play check it out!!

The Hanna Stamp Challenge HSC72 was to use Burgundy and pink & the twist was to use polka dots or circles...well I thought polka dot paper would work...hope that's not cheating.  I stamped Ski Riley with Momento Black ink on Prism White & cut out with my nesties.  These are the Copic's I used to complete the colouring.  Copic Colours for Ski Riley

The shading around the Happy Holidays sentiment which by the way is from Stamping Bella was done with my air compressor and the RV10 & RV13 Copic markers.  The cardstock is Stampin' Up! you can visit my website HERE  The colours are Bravo Burgundy & Pink Pirouette.

Ski Riley Small  I wanted to give you a bit more of a close up on the "Snow".  I used my Liquid Applique here.  The trick to getting a nice puffy cloud...or in this case fake snow is to let the Liquid Applique dry for at least 24 hours...then use your heat tool to puff it up.  If you are patient and wait the 24 hours....very hard for won't get all the bumps in the snow or clouds...the finish is much smoother and more realistic.  You also need to let the card sit out and dry for another 24 hours and give the Liquid Applique time to dry.

Hope you like my card...I'll see you back here tomorrow with another post!!

Wedding Riley - SC231

Birthday Riley Okay I know I said I wouldn't be able to top yesterday's two postings...but...I did match it.

I loved this week's Splitcoast Sketch Challenge so much that I decided to due the layout again but with different colour's and a different image.  It's always cool to see how things look so different when you mix it up.

I promised a sweet Hanna stamp here he adorable Riley presenting a beautiful wedding cake.  I am so glad I bought a few packages of SU DSP Afternoon Tea because I just LOVE's just so pretty.  I used SU Basic Grey & Whisper White cardstock.  Riley is stamped on Gina K 120LB Pure Luxury cardstock...of course my little moose is coloured with Copics....I added a bunch of Kaiser Craft pearls & a bit of Sakura Stardust clear pen....nesties were used too!  The ribbon is SU Grey's such a nice ribbon to work with.

I'm entering this card into the Guest Designer Call on the Splitcoast Stampers forum for Hanna can CHECK IT OUT HERE

Hope you like my card!!!

Bellarific Friday's - bffABugs

BffABUGSI made this card for this week's Bellarific Friday Sketch Challenge over on Stamping Bella

I used those little girls.  I stamped with Momento Tuxeduo Black on Prism White, cut out with my nesties and coloured with my Copic's.  The patterned paper is a glitter stack from DCWV, the flower is from Petaloo, the cardstock and ribbon are SU.

Whew....I did two posting's for today....I won't be able to top that tomorrow....but check back because I will have a sweet little Riley for you!

SC231 & CC221 - Garden Silhouttes & Oval All

Oval AllSo today I decided...rather late...that I would play the Tuesday colour challenge & the Wednesday sketch challenge from pressure.

The colours to use were SU Red Riding Hood, Kiwi Kiss & Tangerine Tango...whew...that's a bright challenge...add the sketch to that...and this is the card I came up with.

I used SU Garden Silhouettes (love this set) & the new Oval All set from the Occasion's Mini (love that set too).  I can't believe there are no Copics on this card....for real..I coloured the flowers in the Fabulous Friend with a dry brush and Red Riding Hood with a bit of Kiwi Kiss.  I added some sparkle with my Sakura Stardust pen and a few stick on rhinestones.  I also used the new SU Scallop Oval punch from the Occasion's Mini and the SU Medium Oval punch.  I mounted each white panel on the matching SU Cardstock and then mounted the panels on SU Basic Black, the inside has a white liner for writing on.

Thanks for stoppin' by...come back soon!

Farm Fever

Farm FeverWell here is a stamp set that I have had fact Stampin' Up! retired this set called Farm Fever...I have over 350 SU sets and this is #128 in the collection...I'm a little upset with myself that this image has never seen an ink pad.  Oh well it was this little piggy's lucky day...

I stamped the adorable little pig with Momento Tuxedo Black on Prism White & cut out with my nesties.  The cardstock is SU Groovy Guava..which retired last year but I still have some and love the colour...the patterned paper is also retired SU...the ribbon is Tangerine 1/4 grosgrain from SU.  I added a little bit of Sakura Stardust pen for dazzle, hard to see in the .jpeg I know.  I also used my Cuttlebug with the little circle folder & added some Staz On white to bring out the circles.

I thought this was a good one for Splitcoast Sketch Challenge #SC44...from way back...since I believe they are at 200+ now..anyway it works.

Farm Fever CopicsThese are the Copics I used...I'm trying very hard to remember to take a pic of's so much easier to see the colour rather than the number.

I must say I hope my refills arrive soon for these markers...I use them so much now some are starting to get a bit dry.

I hope you like today's card....tomorrow it's a Bella!!!

Don't forget to check out the Stampin' Up! Last Chance the link to go to my website for all the details on the stamp sets SU plans to retire on June 30th...don't miss your chance to get them before they are gone.  There are also a ton of things on special....while quantities last..

Bedtime Riley

Bedtime Riley with Watermark_edited-3Oh my goodness you just can't imagine how long it took me to upload this card....days....days I say.  Here is the story;  I purchased a new software programme last week thinking...yeah I will be able to create better photo's for my instruction manual and the info it did come with certainly did nothing to enhance the mind of a gal who at times is not so computer savvy or at least not with photo editing programmes....none the less after several days of trying....I now have a card to show you...yeah!!!

This is Bedtime Riley by Hanna Stamps...I love him.  By the way I am determined to put ink to every Hanna and Bella stamp I have purchased....needless to say...I have more to come.

The cardstock is Perfect Plum by SU, the patterned paper is misc. dollar store...I really like that little stack I picked up for 2 bucks.  The ribon is Plum SU 1/4 grosgrain, I stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black on Gina K 120LB Pure Luxury cardstock, cut out with my Nesties & coloured with my Copics.  It's hard to see from the image but the slippers and pom pom are done with Sakura Stardust Clear, I added a few jewels for more sparkle.  Hope you like today's card!

I decided after the original post to put this card into the Hanna Stamps Guest Desinger Call you can VIEW IT HERE

Tomorrow I have a ....Get Well card by SU!
